Gauss Meters
A Gauss Meter is a must have for paranormal investigators. 
There are many different types out there though, so don’t be fooled by the imitations.
What the meter does is catch the electro-magnetic fields that are found throughout a home, or anywhere you think there might be some energy worth checking out.
The meters come with easy to read scales that let you know the amount of mG’s being measured, as well as an audio signal that goes off when the EMF rating increases.
The Gauss Meter will check for the electrical currents within your home or workplace. You can pretty much use this anywhere you feel a spirit or have a hint that something else is there.
With any of the meters though, you need to be careful around the house in any room that has electronic devices or appliances, especially your kitchens or garage.
Most of the people I go with on my ghost hunts have a Gauss meter, and I can truly say that they are a must have. The needle display is very easy to read and its fool proof. It’s one of those pieces of ghost hunting equipment you have to have in your ghost investigation kit.
I did read that you need to be steady though and try not to jerk the Gauss meter around too much. You need to use a steady hand to make it the most accurate rating that you can get.
Before you use the product, make sure you are reading all the instructions and become familiar with it. I went out on a ghost hunt and tried to use one without reading about it, which did not work out well.
So read the instructions and be prepared. When you are ready, hold it at arms length and walk a steady pace throughout the house or area you are wanting to catch spirits.
If you detect an EMF, the sound will go off and the needle point will go in a upward direction, increasing the mG’s. Between 0-2.5 means that there is little or no activity at all.
The range from 2.5-7 mG, which I got a lot of the time, means that moderate activity is around. Anything above 8 means your around high activity.
I would personally suggest buying one. The Gauss meter will really bring out the electro-magnetic fields and help you on your ghost adventures. Without it, you would be lost. This is a ghost hunters dream.
